By developing advanced textiles and diving deep into what is needed to control turbo heat, they developed the GEN-3 Onyx Black Turbo Shield. A Silicone coated Onyx Black outer layer with multiple stainless steel and silica inner layers. Without a doubt the strongest, most heat resistant shield available. The outer shell is coated in silicone to insulate and hold up under extreme conditions. The silicone shell also prevents fraying and encases seams to make them over four times stronger than previous generations. The insulation includes a thick layer of silica to keep heat in the turbo shield and turbo housing. Silica has low thermal conductivity, making it one of the best insulators. The inner layer increases seam strength, durability, and insulation value with a combination of stainless steel, glass fiber, and silicone. The final inner cover is stainless steel fabric to hold up against the highest temperatures and won't break down or become brittle with heat.
